In a letter dated February 5, 1995, Mr. Michael D. Vinson, P.E., Development Review
Engineer, City of Greenwood Village, requested that FEMA revise the FIRM to modify the leader for
South Berry Lane so that the road does not appear to be in a Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA), the area
that would be inundated by the flood having a I-percent chance of being equaled or exceeded in any given
year (base flood), and to relocate lines that represent base flood elevations (BFEs) shown on the FIRM
along Goldsmith Gulch. An aerial photomap entitled "City of Greenwood Village," prepared by Reids
Aerial Mapping, dated April S, 1993, was submitted with the request to support the relocation of the South
Berry Lane leader.

Mr. Vinson also requested information regarding refunds of insurance premiums for residents removed
from an SFHA. Enclosed is a copy of Section 62.5 of the NFIP regulations that explains the refund policy.
All data required to complete our review of this request were submitted with Mr. Vinson's letter.

We have completed our review of the submitted data and the flood data shown on the effective FIRM and
Flood Insurance Study (FIS) report. We have revised the FIRM, to adjust the street locations of East Berry
Avenue, South Berry Lane, East Berry Court, Big Canyon Drive, South Dallas Street, East Powers Place,
South Clinton Court, South Chester Court, East Orchard Drive, Goldsmith Drive, and Goldsmith Place
to match the aerial photomap and to modify the leader for South Berry Lane. The lines representing BFEs
were also adjusted in the vicinity of Cross Section I to match information shown in the FIS report.

As a result of the modifications, the width of the SFHA for Goldsmith Gulch did not change; the width of
the regulatory floodway did not change; and the effective BFEs did not change. The modifications are
shown on the enclosed annotated copy of FIRM Panel(s) OS005C0460 J. This LOMR hereby revises the
above-referenced panel(s) of the effective FIRM dated August 16, 1995.

The modifications are effective as of the date shown above. The map panel(s) as listed above and as
modified by this letter will be used for all flood insurance policies and renewals issued for your community.

A review of the detennination made by this LOMR and any requests to alter this determination should be
made within 30 days. Any request to alter the detennination must be based on scientific or technical data.
