<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />FPR 94-382 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />721 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />November 4, 1994 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Floodplain Information, Mancos River and <br />Chicken Creek, Drainage Master Plan, Mancos, Colorado" dated March 1982 has been prepared by <br />Muller Engineering Co" Inc,; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report includes detailed floodplain information for the Mancos River and <br />Chicken Creek; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested by the Town of Mancos, <br />Colorado, by Resolution No. 200, adopted on August 16, 1982, designated and approved the floodplains <br />described in said report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, Town of Mancos, <br />Colorado" dated September 29, 1986 has been prepafed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report includes detailed floodplain information for those portions of the Mancos <br />River and Chicken Creek within the corporate limits of the Town of Mancos, as they were in September <br />1986; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the detailed floodplain information in said report dated September 1986 is consistent <br />with the detailed floodplain information in the report previously designated by Resolution No. 200; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Town of Mancos, Colorado, has requested the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board to designate and approve the floodplains set forth in said report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, requires the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised Statutes, provide that <br />legislative bodies of local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along any <br />storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation and approval by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1 )( c), Colorado Revised Statutes, directs the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to make <br />such designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; and <br />
