The area of the project referenced in the Dad Clark Gulch study is planned
for non-urban uses only (see attachment) with emphasis on undisturbed natural land-
scapingat this time. The County's floodplain regulations; recognized by your Board
and the Federal Flood Insurance Administration, precludes non-compatible land uses in
the reaches of the 100 year floodplain. Additionally, the recently adopted County
Interim Master Plan recommends against any incompatible, uses.tJroximateto 'desig-:,
nated floodplains.

It is our belief that the engineering study prepared by the J.G. Raub Company for Dad
Clark Gulch is in accord with applicable County standards and regulations.

Therefore, based upon the recommendations of our staff, we officially recognize this
study as a supplement to the Douglas County Floodplain maps on file for Dad Clark
Gulch. We recommend' your acceptance and use of the study in your review of the re-
quest for road structures within Highlands Ranch affecting Dad Clark Gulch.

;/eIL-~.. .f}.
