YUMA LAKE AREA (AREA NO.1)

The general flow~-t1;~f the streets are adequate to handle

the design rainfall, with the exception of 3rd Avenue and 2nd

Avenue as indicated On Exhibit II attached. It is, therefore,

recommended that a 21 inch line be installed on 3rd Avenue

between Ash and Birch Streets, and a 30 inch line continuing

from Ash Street easterly to Yuma Lake. It is further recom-

mended that a 30 inch line be installed from Date Street along

2nd Street to the Yuma Lake. The Yuma Lake, as presently

designed, is generally adequate to handle the design runoff

with certain provisions, such as provisions for draining the

lake as proposed by utilizing a 36 inch outlet structure from the

lake to an area east of Detroit Street.

The estimated costs for these improvements is shown in

Section II of this report. It is proposed to use as much of

the existing 12 inch storm sewer and 18 inch sewer pipe leading

into Yuma Lake as is possible.

2. YUMA NORTH AREA (AREA NO.2)

A 30 inch storm sewer is proposed to extend along Railroad

Avenue from North Birch Street to North Main Street. From

there it is proposed to use a 33 inch line from North Main Street

16
