<br />6.0 OTHER STUDIES <br /> <br />A Flood Hazard Boundary Map was prepared for the unincorporated areas <br />of Moffat County in April 1978 (Reference 12). Approximate flood houndar ie" <br />in some areas of this study were taken from this map. <br /> <br />A Flood Hazard Information report (Reference 4) covering Yampa River, <br />the lower portion of Fortification Creek, Brotherton Gulch, Cedar Mountain <br />Gulch, and Pine Ridge Gulch was completed in November 1977. All technical <br />information from the report was reviewed, and some changes were found <br />to be necessary. Due to rapid development in the flood plains of Yampa <br />River, the lCMer portion of Fortification Creek, and near the confluence <br />of Cedar Mountain and Pine Ridge Gulches. all improvements which were <br />existing as of November 1, 1979, have been incorporated into this study. <br />In addition, the Holiday Inn Development and the Colorado Highway Depart- <br />ment culvert improvements at U.S. Highway 40 on Cedar Mountain Gulch <br />were included in the Pine Ridge and Cedar Mountain Gulches hydraulics. <br />The detention pond located on Brotherton Gulch was not included in this <br />study. It was assumed to be washed out during flooding. <br /> <br />A Flood Insurance Study has been prepared for the City of Craig (Refer- <br />ence 13). Information and methods in this study are in agreement with <br />those used in the Craig study. <br /> <br />This study is authoritative for the purposes of the National Flood Insur- <br />ance Program; data presented herein either supersede or are compatible <br />with all previous determinations. <br /> <br />7.0 LOCATION OF DATA <br /> <br />Survey, hydrologic, hydraulic, and other pertinent data used in this <br />study can be obtained by contacting the Natural and Technological Hazards <br />Division, Feder.al Emergency Management Agency, Building 710, Denver <br />Federal Center, Lakewood, Colorado 80225. <br /> <br />8.0 BIBLIOGRAPHY AND REFERENCES <br /> <br />1. u.S.
