<br />STUDY TO BE DESIGNATED <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Agency completed a floodplain <br />information report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, Arapahoe County, Colorado and Incorporated <br />Areas" dated March 4, 1991 (Table I, Ref. No.6) with included Flood Insurance Rate Maps; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report with included Flood Insurance Rate Maps contains' detailed <br />hydrology and floodplain delineations for the streams as listed in Table 2 within themcorporated <br />portions of Cherry Hills Village, as they were 011 March 4, 1991 <br /> <br />Tllble2 <br />Detailed Floodplain Delineations within Cherry Hills Village <br />Little Dry Creek <br />Greenwood Gulch <br />Quincy Gulch <br />Blackmer Gulch <br /> <br />; and <br /> <br />FLOODPLAIN CONSISTENCY <br />WHEREAS, the detailed floodplain delineations contained in said report with included <br />Flood Insurance Rate Maps for the streams li$ted in Table 2 are consistent with the floodplain <br />delineations contained in Resolution Nos. 31, 360, and 494 (Table 1, Ref. Nos. 2, 3, and 5); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a Letter of Map Revision for Little Dry Creek revised the floodplain <br />delineations from its confluence with the Soutb Platte River upstream to Clarkson Street, but did <br />not directly affect or revise flood hazard areas within the City of Cherry Hills Village upstream of <br />Clarkson Street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the information contained in Resolution No. 182 provides floodplain <br />delineations for portions of Blackmer Gulch Tributary within Cherry Hills Village that have not <br />been utilized or published in said report with included Flood Insurance Rate Maps; and <br /> <br />C.R.S. AUTHORITY <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, requires the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board to assist in the prever1tion of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised Statutes, provide that <br />legislative bodies of local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along <br />any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation and approval by the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />2 <br />
