<br />RELATED FLOOD STUDIES <br /> <br />-A flood hazard boundry map for the Town of Col Ibran, Mesa <br />County, was prepared in 1974 and revised in December 1975. <br /> <br />In 1978 Plateau Creek, Grove Creek, and Buzzard Creek were <br />studied by approximate methods for a flood insurance study <br />for the unincorporated areas of Mesa County. <br /> <br />A Flood Insurance Study was made for the Town of Collbran <br />and publ ished in October, 1981. The study was within the <br />incorporated I !mits of Collbran including approximately 0.6 <br />mi les of Plateau Creek and 0.4 mi les of Grove Creek. <br />Deta! led study methods were used in this study. <br /> <br />A hydrology report was made by Simons Li & Associates Inc. <br />for the Town of Rangely, City of Rifle, and Garfield County, <br />for Flood Insurance purposes. It has a table of peak flow- <br />frequency data that includes Plateau Creek and Buzzard <br />Creek. The Buzzard Creek values were used in this study <br />since it was the best ava! lable refrence. <br /> <br />6 <br />
