<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />FPR 00-526 <br />Town of Dove Creek <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERV A TrON BOARD <br />721 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />September 25,2000 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />PREVIOUS FLOODPLAIN INFORMATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the initial identification of flood hazard areas within the town of Dove Creek <br />was on May 24, 1974 via a Flood Hazard Boundary Map (FHBM) published by the Federal <br />Insurance Administration; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the 1974 FHBM was revised on November 28, 1975, but there are no other <br />known floodplain studies for the Town; and <br /> <br />FLOODPLAIN INFORMATION TO BE DESIGNATED <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Agency converted said FHBM to a Flood <br />Insurance Rate Map (FIRM), with no changes to the flood boundaries, by letter dated January 1, <br />1986; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS said map dated January 1, 1986 includes approximate floodplain information <br />for Dove Creek within the community of Dove Creek; and i <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, through its engineering consultant <br />Montgomery Watson, has prepared a new report entitled "Floodplain Information Report, Dove <br />Creek, Colorado" dated September 2000 that provides technical and regulatory information to <br />accompany said map dated January 1,1986; and <br /> <br />LOCAL REOUEST FOR DESIGNATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Town of Dove Creek requested in writing by letter dated July 24, 2000 that <br />the Colorado Water Conservation Board designate and approve the approximate floodplain <br />information as presented on said map dated January 1, 1986, which is part of said new report dated <br />September 2000; and <br />
