The plan of study for the Coal Cr~ek and Rock Creek study was <br /> <br /> <br />prepa ed in May 1974. <br /> <br />lood hazard analyses are carried out by the Soil Conservation <br /> <br /> <br />Servl e as an outgrowth of the recommend~tions in A Report by the Task <br /> <br /> <br />Foroe on Federal Flood Control Polioy, Hbuse Document No. 465 (89th <br /> <br /> <br />Congr ss, August 10, 1966), especially Recommendation 9(c), Regulation <br /> <br /> <br />of L Use, which recommended the preparation of preliminary reports <br /> <br /> <br />for g idance in those areas where asistance Is needed before a full <br /> <br /> <br />flood hazard Information report can be prepared or where a full report <br /> <br /> <br />is no scheduled. <br /> <br />thorlty for funding flood hazard ~nalyses Is provided by Section 6 <br /> <br /> <br />of Pu lic Law 83-566, which authorizes the U. S.
