Dear Brian:

The Town of Boone, Colorado, has requested enrollment in the ~ational
Flood Insurance Program. We expect the Federal Emergency Management
Agency's action on the enrollment within 6-8 weeks.

Please find enclosed photocopies of the following documents for your
information:

. Resolution--A resolution, applying for flood
insurance program, adopted by the Town of Boone
Council on March 5, 1983;

. Application for Participation in the National Flood
Insurance Program completed for the Town of Boone;

. Ordinance No. 89, "An Ordinance Adopting Regulations
for Flood Hazard Area within the Incorporated Areas
of the Town of Boone, Co 1 orado," adopted by the Town
of Boone Council on March 5, 1983;

. "Flood Hazard Area Boundary Map: Community Panel
No. 080148 0001 B, revised September 19, 1978, U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development; and

. Letter--C. Fi n 1 ey to Federal Emergency ~1anagement Agency,
April 8, 1983, requesting enrollment for the Town of
Boone in the National Flood Insurance Program.

Boone's Flood Hazard Area Regulations are patterned after the County of
Pueblo's regulations because the County will administer Boone's regulations.
The Flood Hazard Area Boundary map was not prepared from a detailed
hydrology study to the best of our knowledge; therefore, the Town of
Boone is not seeking Colorado Water Conservation Board designation at
this time. At such time as a detailed hydrologic study is made, we will
submit it to the Board for designation.
