Baseline HEC.2 Run is presented in Appendix A and is the complete computer
input/output for the final run. The summary printout table on page 9 shows that 11 of the
17 cross sections were at critical depth during the lOa-year flood.

C. Cross-sections were plotted by computer (Appendix B) and by hand (Appendix C)

D. Flood profile for the lOa-year flood was plotted on Figure 3.

Proposed Channel Improvements.

The proposed project consists of filling of the right bank floodplain area, moving the main
channel to the west and shaping the section, and construction of a fishing pond and sedi-
ment/debris collection area. Preliminary calculations were made and the base flood HEC-2 model
revised to reflect the proposed project. The results of the investigation are presented below:

A. Table 3 compares the lOa-year water surface elevations with and without (base flood
condition) the proposed ponds and channelization. Immediately above the fishing pond
(station 677+00), the water surface drops 1.0 feet then rises 0.9 above the base flood
model. Above the sediment/debris pond, essentially zero rise in water surface is achieved.

B. The Channelization HEC-2 Run is presented in Appendix F and is the complete
computer input/output file for the run. The summary printout table on page 9 shows that
12 of the 19 cross sections were at (or within 0.1 feet of) critical depth during the 100-
year flood.

C. A plan and profile of the existing and proposed water surface elevations and floodplain
limits is presented on Figure 3.

D. Proposed cross sections were drawn on the original hand-plotted sections and are
presented in Appendix E.

7
