<br />methodology is not appropriate for development involving residential subvidivisions greater than <br />50 lots or occuring on sites greater than 5 acres, cOrruJlercial construction, industrial construction, <br />construction of public transportation facilities or constr\)ction of flood control activities; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation. Board in <br />regular meeting assembled in Thornton, Colorado, this 29th day of January, 1997, that it does <br />hereby designate and approve as detailed floodplain information the 100-year floodplains as <br />described in said new report, dated September 30,1992, for the study reaches listed in Table I, and <br />does hereby rescind that portion of Resolution No. 163 relating to the approximate floodplain <br />information for the stream reaches listed in Table I; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board does hereby designate and approve as storm or <br />floodwater runoff channels or basins those areas described by the approximate floodplain <br />delineations in said new report, dated September 30, 1992, for the stream reaches listed in Table 2 , <br />and as described by the hydrologic procedure for estimating 100-year peak flows as described in the <br />Hydrologic Addendum for Approximate Floodplllins dated December 1996, utilizing the <br />regression equation for Arkansas River Basin Subregion ARK-4b, contingent upon the <br />understanding that EI Paso County and the EI Paso Regional Building Department will regulate the <br />approximate floodplains on a case-by-case basis subject to a detailed hydrologic and hydraulic <br />analysis performed by a professional engineer, in accordance with the determinations of the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board regarding the applicability of the Guidelines for Determining <br />- - lOO-Year Flood Flowsfor Approximate Floodplains; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is directed to send a certified <br />copy of this resolution to the City of Colorado Springs; the City of Fountain; the City of Manitou <br />Springs; the Town of Calhan; the Town of Monument; the Town of Palmer Lake; the Town of <br />Ramah; the Board of County Commissioners of EI Paso County; the EI Paso Regional Building <br />Department; the Colorado Office of Emergency Management; the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, <br />Albuquerque District; the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS); and the Federal <br />Emergency Management Agency. <br /> <br />7 <br />
