CHAPTER III

MASTER PLAN DRAwINGS
~~_._,~-~-_._._--,----_.,.._--

Introduct.ion
~---_.-----~--_.

All drawings referred to in this re"Jort are presented in Volume II.

The base maps for drawings numbered 1 through L~ are taken from the Phase

A report. They depict the drawings list., location of the First Creek

basin, index maps, plan and profile legelld, and basin and sub-basil)

boundaries.

Drawings 5 through 8 show the lOO-year design hydrographs. These

hydr'graphs represent flows at selected design points within the drain-

age basin. The peak flows from these hydrographs were presented in

Tabl e II -4.

Drawings 9 through 32 present the docainage"ay planning for First

Creek in the form of plan and profile sheets. These drawings show the

proposed drainageway improvements and the future 100-year flood plain

corr',sponding to the improved drainageway. Also, the future lOCi-year

floolj plain corresponding to the exist.inl~ drainageway conditions is pre-

sentl~d for reaches where structural improvements are not recommendf~d,

The major drainageway plannj,ng drawl.ngs COIltain sufficient detail

III both plan and profi le for planning purpo:3es. Therefore, the fol low..

ing discussion will not contain any speci fics foy individual improve"

ffientl;. Also, throughout this chapter, t.he ":erminology flood plain zoo.,

lug ::or a specific reach is intended to mean:

1. As soon as it is practically possible, the area within

the 100-year flood plain for fut.ure basin development and existing

drainageway conditions should be desigTled as Flood Plain Zone.

2. At such time in the future, \vhen the drainageway improve-

ments suggested in this report are imp_emented, the Flood Plain

zoned areas as in 1 above should be moclificd to cover areas under

the future 100-year flood with imprcv~d dr.inage"ay conditions.

TIT-I
