The floodplain area consists mostly of mobile <br />homes, streets, and some commercial buildings. <br />From Montview Boulevard to Billings Street, the channel <br />banks are lined with gabjon structures. The channel Slze 1S <br />uniform and without erosion problems. floodplain areas include <br />open space, residential buildings, and streets. <br />From Billings Street to Sable Drainageway, the drainage flow <br />1S conveyed by storm sewer to a concrete-lined channel. The <br />floodplain adjacent to the drainageway consists of residential <br />buildings, streets, and open space. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />2 . Sable Drainaqeway <br />The upper study limit for Sable Drainageway 1S at Colfax <br />Avenue. From Colfax Avenue to Jasper Street, the drainageway <br />consists of storm sewer and a concrete-lined channel. The <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />floodplain area 1S mainly open space with a small segment near <br /> <br /> <br />Colfax Avenue developed as a mobile home park. The area south of <br /> <br /> <br />Colfax Avenue is very flat and subject to sheet flow. <br /> <br /> <br />From Jasper Street to Chambers Road, the drainageway 1S <br /> <br /> <br />concrete-lined and passes through industrial and commercial <br /> <br /> <br />areas. The adjacent floodplain includes streets, parking lots, <br /> <br /> <br />and commercial buildings. <br /> <br />From Chambers Road to Montview Boulevard, a concrete-lined <br /> <br /> <br />channel cont inues 1n a northwester ly direction. The floodplain <br /> <br />area 1S currently not developed and 1S covered with native <br /> <br /> <br />grasses and weeds.
