1S conveyed by storm sewer to a concrete-lined channel. The
floodplain adjacent to the drainageway consists of residential
buildings, streets, and open space.

2 . Sable Drainaqeway
The upper study limit for Sable Drainageway 1S at Colfax
Avenue. From Colfax Avenue to Jasper Street, the drainageway
consists of storm sewer and a concrete-lined channel. The

floodplain area 1S mainly open space with a small segment near

Colfax Avenue developed as a mobile home park. The area south of

Colfax Avenue is very flat and subject to sheet flow.

From Jasper Street to Chambers Road, the drainageway 1S

concrete-lined and passes through industrial and commercial

areas. The adjacent floodplain includes streets, parking lots,

and commercial buildings.

From Chambers Road to Montview Boulevard, a concrete-lined

channel cont inues 1n a northwester ly direction. The floodplain

area 1S currently not developed and 1S covered with native

grasses and weeds. Several residential subdivisions are under

construction near the drainageway.

From Montview Boulevard to 1-225,
