<br />Sheri Rowe <br />Assistant Director <br />Office of Educational Initiatives <br />Pennsylvania Department of Education <br /> <br />With more than 24 years of experience with state government, Sheri currently <br />works in the Executive Office for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, <br />Department of Education as Assistant Directory of the Office of Educational <br />Initiatives. She leads and coordinates major educational initiatives and works <br />closely with the Commonwealth's school entities, while coordinating numerous <br />other management issues. <br /> <br />Sheri serves as the co-chair of the Interstate Advisory Group (lAG), a national <br />group of states that is formally chartered with the federal government, to work in <br />partnership on implementing Public Law 106-107 and the e-Grant e-Gov initiative <br />on the President's Management Agenda. <br /> <br />She has worked for many years as the chair of the task force dedicated to <br />reengineering grants management in the Pennsylvania Department of education <br />(PDE). She also serves in a leadership position on the statewide e-grant <br />committee for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is responsible for the <br />Department's e-grant management system. Sheri also co-chairs a consortia of <br />states working on a national data model with USDE for improved educational <br />information. <br /> <br />Sheri is currently directly responsible for the success of the "Your Schools, Your <br />Money" Initiative, the Standard and Poor's Project and she chairs the PDE Data <br />Council. The Council works to improve data and data reporting among PDE, <br />school entities, and the general public. <br /> <br />Before taking her current position, she was responsible for coordinating and <br />supervising the financial management for all Basic Education funding sources <br />amounting to approximately $7 billion within the Department of Education. <br />
