BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 130ard does hereby designate and approve as storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins those areas described by approximate floodplain information in said new report dated September 29, 1989 and by the hydrologic procedure for estimating IOO-year peak flows as described in the Hydrologic Addendum for Approximate Floodplains dated December 22, 1995, utilizing the regression equation for Arkansas River Basin Region 4b, Q,oo = 3089.12 + 198.56 * A, from the Guidelinesfor Determining 100-Year Flood Flows for Approximate Floodplains, for the study reaches listed in Table 2 and for the unnamed tributary to Monument Creek upstream of the western corporate limit of the Town of Monument at Old Denver Highway, contingent upon the understanding that the Town of Monument will regulate the approximate floodplains on a case-by-case basis subject to a detailed hydrologic and hydraulic analysis performed by a professional enjilineer, in accordance with the determinations of the Colorado Water Conservation Board regarding the applicability of the Guidelines for Determining 100- Year Flood Flows for ApproxiftUlte Floodplains; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is directed to send a certified copy of this resolution to the Town of Monument; the Town of Palmer Lake; the City of Colorado Springs; the Board of County Comrnissioners of El Paso County; the Colorado Office of Emergency Management; the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Albuquerque District; and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
