<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 130ard does hereby designate and approve as <br />storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins those areas described by approximate floodplain <br />information in said new report dated September 29, 1989 and by the hydrologic procedure for <br />estimating IOO-year peak flows as described in the Hydrologic Addendum for Approximate <br />Floodplains dated December 22, 1995, utilizing the regression equation for Arkansas River Basin <br />Region 4b, Q,oo = 3089.12 + 198.56 * A, from the Guidelinesfor Determining 100-Year Flood <br />Flows for Approximate Floodplains, for the study reaches listed in Table 2 and for the unnamed <br />tributary to Monument Creek upstream of the western corporate limit of the Town of Monument <br />at Old Denver Highway, contingent upon the understanding that the Town of Monument will <br />regulate the approximate floodplains on a case-by-case basis subject to a detailed hydrologic and <br />hydraulic analysis performed by a professional enjilineer, in accordance with the determinations <br />of the Colorado Water Conservation Board regarding the applicability of the Guidelines for <br />Determining 100- Year Flood Flows for ApproxiftUlte Floodplains; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is directed to send a <br />certified copy of this resolution to the Town of Monument; the Town of Palmer Lake; the City <br />of Colorado Springs; the Board of County Comrnissioners of El Paso County; the Colorado <br />Office of Emergency Management; the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Albuquerque District; and <br />the Federal Emergency Management Agency. <br /> <br />CERTIfICATE <br /> <br />I certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution adopted by a majority <br />vote of the members of the Colorado Water ConsefVation Board in regular session assembled at <br />Northglenn, Colorlldo, on the 25th day of January, 1996, at which a quorum was present. <br /> <br />~\~~ <br /> <br />r Daries C.
