WHEREAS, said new report for the Town of Monument dated September 29, 1989
includes approximate floodplain information which has not previously been designated and
approved by the Colorado Water Conservation Board for an wmamed tributary to Monument
Creek upstream of the western corporate limit of the Town of Monument at Old Denver
Highway; and

WHEREAS, the hydrology for the streaJll reaches included in Table 2 and for the
unnamed tributary to Monument Creek has been e5timated in accordance with the Guidelines for
Determining 100- Year Flood Flows for Approxi/lUlte Floodplains; and

WHEREAS, the IOO-year flow for each of the stream reaches included in Table 2 and for
the unnamed tributary to Monument Creek is estijllated by utilizing the regression equation for
Arkansas River Basin Region 4b, QlOO = 3089.12 -1-198.56 * A, where QlOO is the IOO-year peak
flow in cubic feet per second and A is the upstrearP (contributing) drainage area in square miles;
and

WHEREAS, the estimation of IOO-year peak flows for the stream reaches included in
Table 2 and for the unnamed tributary to Moml111ent Creek is described in the Hydrology
Addendum for Approximate Floodplains dated December 22, 1995, hereby attached to said
new report dated September 29, 1989; and

WHEREAS, the Town of Monument, Colorado, has requested the Colorado Water
Conservation Board to designate and approve the floodplains set forth in the aforesaid new report;
and
