RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Agency completed a floodplain report
entitled "Flood Insurance Study, EI Paso County, Colorado, Unincorporated Areas Volumes 1-4",
dated December 18, 1986; and

WHEREAS, said report included detailed and approximate floodplain information for
streams within unincorporated portions ofEI Paso County, as they were on December 18, 1986;
and

WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservlition Board, as requested by EI Paso County,
by Resolution No. 263, adopted on November 18, i 986, designated and approved the detailed and
the approximate floodplain information included in said report; and

WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board completed a floodplain information
report entitled "Flood Hazard Identification Report, Crystal Creek and Dirty Woman Creek,
Monument, Colorado", dated February 1987; and

WHEREAS, said report included detailed floodplain information for Crystal Creek and
Dirty Woman Creek; and

WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested by the Town of
Monument, by Resolution No. 280, adopted on May IS, 1987, designated and approved the
detailed floodplain information included in said report; and

WHEREAS, a new report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, Town ofMonurnent, Colorado,
EI Paso County", dated September 29, 1989 haS been prepared by the Federal Emergency
Management Agency; and

WHEREAS, said new report includes detailed floodplain information for Crystal Creek
and Dirty Woman Creek; and

WHEREAS, said new report includes approximate floodplain information for Monument
Creek, Dirty Woman Creek, Jackson Creek and its northern tributary, Teachout Creek and its two
branches and an unnamed tributary to Monument Creek; and

WHEREAS, said new report for the To~ of Monument dated September 29, 1989
