Preliminary and final design, and construction of a 32 acre-
foot regional detention and stormwater quality enhancement
facility for the Rock Creek development. Improvements
include pipe outfalls, en,;:rgy dissipation basins,
wetlands/water quality t.reatment area, grouted boulder drop
structures, and upstream channel stabilization measures.

Des.ign of the whitewater canoe and kayak slalom competition
venue for the 1996 Summer Olympic Games on the Ocoee
River in the Cherokee National Forest, Polk County,
Tennessee. Work included prelimjnary and final design of
channel modifications which included grouted boulder levees
for the 600-meter slalOITl course, and evaluation of flood
protection measures for the adjacent highway.

Preliminary design, final design, and construction of three
schedules of drainage improvements, including: the Foothills
Detention/water quality Storage Facility, Coal Creek Drive
box culvert and channel improvements, and Rock Creek
stabilization measures (grouted boulder check structures,
riprap bank protection, regrading, and wetlands plantings).

Preliminary and final design of a storm sewer outfall to
Boulder Creek. Improvements include 30" RCP trunk sewer,
lateral piping and inlets, diversion and reconnection of
existing storm sewers, utility relocations, and grouted boulder
stilling basin at Boulder Creek.

Planning, design, and construction of six phases of stonn
sewer and street improvl:ments to relieve flooding and provide
storm sewer capacity for existing and developing arcas.
Improvements induded outfall channels to the South Platte
River; 24" to 72" storm sewers; jacked pipe under U.S.
Highway 85, the Union Pacific Railroad and the Fulton Ditch:
water and sewer relocations; curb, gutter, and sidewalk; and
street repaving.

Preparalion of a drainage plan to relieve flooding and provide
storm drainage outfalls to the South Platte River for area~
within City limits. Proj(;ct work involved hydrology,
evaluation of existing drainage system and problem
assessment, solution development and alternative analysis,
cost estimating, and preliminary design of recommended
improvements. The proposed plan involved two new storm
drainage outfalls to the South Platte River, including storm
sewers and inlets, grass-lined channels, and two regional
detention ponds.

Analysis of existing drainage system, problem assessment,
alternatives analysis, preliminary and final design of storm
drainage improvements to relieve flooding in the Town's
business district. The constructed facilities include a 2-year
storm sewer system with inlets, bUl;ed sedimentation basin,
and an underground storage/infiltration system.
