The flow thus obtained plus <br />the discharge released from the reservoir yielded the peak dis- <br />charge for each selected recurrence interval. The frequency- <br />discharge curves for Ignacio, Bayfield and Vallecito Reservoir <br />operations are shown in Figure 11. <br /> <br />Peak discharges used in hydraulic computations at various locations <br />are listed in Table 5. <br /> <br />Comments <br />Hydrologic data presented in this report are based on historical <br />data which include sediment and debris normally associated with <br />flood flows. Unusual flood situations, such as mud flows and large <br />amounts of debris that would increase the severity of floods, cannot <br />be identified without extensive studies. A flood of this nature <br />will probably exceed flood magnitudes presented in this report. <br />Flood flows in excess of 100-year recurrence interval presented in <br />this report are our best estimate according to information avail- <br />able. If any agency or individual wishes to use the data developed <br />for this report, it would be beneficial if the agency or individual <br />contacted the Colorado Water Conservation Board to discuss the data <br />limitations. <br /> <br />-20- <br />
