criteria were used in

DRAFT

adopting individual flows:

1. If FEMA had specified a flow for a given
location, it was adopted. The FEMA flows must
be used for flood plain delineation and flood
insurance purposes where available.

2. Since FEMA only defines the 10-, 50-, 100-
and 500-year peak discharges. For locations
where the FEMA flows were adopted, the 2-, s-
and 25-year flows were extapolated and
interpolated from the FEMA values.

3. On the major tributaries, without FEMA
defined flows for the 2-, 5-, 10- and 25-year
floods, the results of the regional regression
were adopted. For the 50-and 100-year floods,
the HEC-l modelling results were adopted.

4. For WS-8 and WS-9 of Gold Run Gulch, their
watersheds are too small to be considered
appropriate for evaluation by the regional
regressions. The HEC-l flows were adopted for
all return periods.

The adopted flows for the Blue River and the major tributaries are
identified in Table 2.10.

TABLE 2.10 - ADOPTED PEAK FLOWS FOR THE BLUE RIVER
AND ITS MAJOR TRIBUTARIES

----------------------------------------------------------------
LOCATION DISCHARGE (cfs)
2-YR 5-YR 10-YR 25-YR 50-YR 100-YR
----------------------------------------------------------------
Blue R. b1.
