DRAFT

TABLE 2.5 - 24-HOUR RAINFALL POINT RAINFALL VOLUMES

LOCATION

RAINFALL VOWME (INCHES)
2-YR 5-YR 10-YR 25-YR 50-YR 100-YR

Valley
Mountains

1.20 1.60
1.33 1.77

1.80
1.99

2.20
2.44

2.60
2.88

2.80
3.10

The rainfall intensities for the 24-hour period were developed
utilizing the SCS Type-II storm distribution McCuen, 1982. The
storm was divided into 15 minute increments. The storm
distribution is listed in Table 2.6. The values were adjusted
slightly to coincide with rainfall volumes for specific time
intervals from NOAA (1973). For large areas, the point volumes are
multiplied by and area reduction factor. Only the French Creek
basin was large enough to require such a factor. The area
reduction factor for the French Creek basin was 0.97.

12
