Improvements are proposed for the 10-
year stoan and are summarized as follows:

· Install new crossings at the BNRR, Phelps Street, in a parking lot about 1,000 feet upstream of
HWY 14, and at HWY 14

· Channel improvements are proposed at various locations which typically involves widening the
channel bottom and re-garding the channel sideslopes. A realignment of a portion of the Pioneer
Ditch is recommended to shorten the overall length and provide a steeper grade.

· The Division A venue detention facility is proposed on the north side of Division A venue and
Filmore Street to relieve flooding of the channel downstream. A conceptual design of the proposed
detention pond was completed but no cost estimates were provided for any of the proposed
improvements,

21
