S. Army corps of Engineers, Omaha District, <br />has completed for the City of Aurora, Special Flood Plain Information <br />Report, Upper Toll Gate Creek and Tributaries, Aurora, Colorado, <br />dated June 1973; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Flood Plain Information Report outlines and <br />describes the flood water runoff channels within the above described <br />areas; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 149-1-11(4), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1963, requires that the Colorado Water Conservation Board designate <br />and approve storm or flood water runoff channels and to make such <br />designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 139-60-1, Colorado Revised Statutes 1963, <br />provides that such cities, towns, incorporated areas and local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for any storm or flood <br />water runoff channel only after designation and approval by the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Aurora has requested the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to designate and approve the flood hazard areas <br />as set forth in the aforesaid U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Flood <br />Plain Information Report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said Flood <br />Plain Information Report and does hereby recommend to the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board that said Board designate and approve as <br />flood hazard areas those areas set forth in the report as being <br />- - -suoj ecf-fo-an-nrEermeai:a:t-e- regiona-l---rroo-ctr-------- ---- <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Con- <br />servation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, <br />this 31st day of October, 1973, that it does hereby designate and <br />
