No. 124 <br /> <br />II <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />823 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />Nove~ber 1, 1978 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled <br />"Floodplain Information, Dry creek, Boulder County - Weld <br />County, Colorado," dated June, 1978, has been prepared by <br />the United States Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, <br />at the request of Boulder County, Weld County, and the. ' <br />Colorado water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the <br />floodplain data and information for the storm and floodwater <br />runoff channels or basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Boulder County has requested the Colorado <br />Water Cons~rvation Board to designate and approve the floodplain <br />areas as s~t forth in the aforesaid report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60~106(1), Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />to assist in the prevention of floods and flood damtlges therefrom; <br />and <br /> <br />} <br /> <br />lvHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado <br />Revised Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of <br />local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land <br />uses on or along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or <br />basin only after designation and approval by the Colorado <br />p'ater Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1) (c), Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />to designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels <br />or basins and to make such designations available to legislative <br />bodies of local jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said <br />report and does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board that the Board designate and apprOve as <br />floodplain areas those areas inundated by a lOa-year flood <br />(intermediate regional flood) as described by the floodwater <br />surface elevations and profiles in said report; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, <br />Colorado, this lst day of November, 1978, that it does <br />hereby designate and approve as floodplain areas those areas <br />described as being inundated by a 100-year flood as described <br />by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in said <br />report; and <br />
