Greenlee
Mayor, City of Boulder
P.O. Box 791
Boulder, CO 80306-0791

Community: City of Boulder, Colorado
Community No.: 080024
Panel Affected: 08013C0395 F
En:ective. ~ate of 0 C T 1 2 1999
thiS ReVISIOn:

l02-I-A-C

Dear Mayor Greenlee:

On October 20, 1998, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) issued a Letter of Map
Revision (LOMR) (Case No. 98-08-409P) to modify the floodplain boundary delineations of the flood
having a I-percent chance of being equaled or exceeded in any given year (base flood) along Sunshine
Gulch and Sunshine Gulch Tributary and to correct the road alignments in an area bounded by Sunshine
Gulch and Goose and Boulder Creeks, as shown on the Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) for Boulder
County, Colorado and Incorporated Areas (the effective FIRM for your community). Modifications made
by four previously issued LOMRs were inadvertently omitted from the annotated copy of FIRM
Panel 08013C0395 F, enclosed with the October 20 LOMR, and the base flood elevation (BFE) of
5,429 feet along Founnile Canyon Creek approximately 2,300 feet upstream of 26th Street was incorrectly
designated as 5,425 feet. The annotated Floodway Data Table that accompanied the LOMR issued for
Goose Creek on January 16, 1996, inadvertently included infonnation for Cross Section K, which had been
deleted. This LOMR is being issued to show the modifications made by the October 20 LOMR and the
four previously issued LOMRs; to correct the BFE designation of 5,429 feet along Fourmile Canyon
Creek; and to remove the information for Cross Section K from the Floodway Data Table for Goose Creek.
This LOMR supersedes the previous LOMR dated October 20, 1998.

Using information previously submitted, we have revised the FIRM and FlS report to modify the floodplain
boundary delineations along Sunshine Gulch and Sunshine Gulch Tributary; to correct the road alignments
in an area bounded by Sunshine Gulch and Goose and Boulder Creeks; to show the BFEs and floodplain
and floodway boundary delineations modified by the four previously issued LOMRs; to correct the BFE
designation of 5,429 feet along Fourmile Canyon Creek; and to remove the obsolete information for Cross
Section K from the Floodway Data Table for Goose Creek. The results of the modifications are shown on
the annotated copy of FIRM Panel(s) 08013C0395 F and the affected portion of the Floodway Data Table.
This LOMR hereby revises the above-referenced panel(s) of the effective FIRM dated June 2, 1995, and
the affected portion of the FIS report dated January 16, 1996.
