No. 187 <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />823 State Centennial Building <br />1313 She~man Street <br />Denver, CoJorado 80203 <br /> <br />April 1, 1982 <br /> <br />RES 0 ~ UTI 0 N <br />- <br /> <br />WHEREAS, A floodplain information report entitled "Flood- <br />plain Information Report, Upper Boulder Creek and Fourmile Creek, <br />Boulder, County, Colorado," dated December, 1981, has been <br />prepared by GinergyAssociates, Inc., from information proviqed <br />by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District; at the <br />request of Boulder County; and the Colorado Water Conservation, <br />Board; and ' <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels <br />or basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Boulder County has requested the Colorado Water <br />COnservation Board to designate and approve the floodplain areas <br />asset forth in the aforesaid report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in <br />the prevent ion of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoninq regulations for land uses on or <br />along any storm or floodwater runoff channel' or basin only after <br />designation and approval by ~he Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-1 06( 1 ) (c) i Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the Colorado Wate~ Conservation Board to designate <br />and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to <br />make such designations available to legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report and <br />does hereby recommend to the colorado Water Conservation, Board <br />that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those <br />areas inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) <br />as described by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in <br />said report; <br />
