No. 187 " COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD 823 State Centennial Building 1313 She~man Street Denver, CoJorado 80203 April 1, 1982 RES 0 ~ UTI 0 N - WHEREAS, A floodplain information report entitled "Flood- plain Information Report, Upper Boulder Creek and Fourmile Creek, Boulder, County, Colorado," dated December, 1981, has been prepared by GinergyAssociates, Inc., from information proviqed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District; at the request of Boulder County; and the Colorado Water Conservation, Board; and ' WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels or basins of the study area; and WHEREAS, Boulder County has requested the Colorado Water COnservation Board to designate and approve the floodplain areas asset forth in the aforesaid report; and WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes 1973, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in the prevent ion of floods and flood damages therefrom; and WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local jurisdictions may provide zoninq regulations for land uses on or along any storm or floodwater runoff channel' or basin only after designation and approval by ~he Colorado Water Conservation Board; and WHEREAS, Section 37-60-1 06( 1 ) (c) i Colorado Revised Statutes 1973, directs the Colorado Wate~ Conservation Board to designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to make such designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; and WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report and does hereby recommend to the colorado Water Conservation, Board that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those areas inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) as described by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in said report;
