TPis study was conducted by a recog~ <br />nized engineering agency uSing the best means available to determine <br />the flood prone areas of the Big rhompson River. In order for Weld <br />County to regulate land uses in t/1ose flood prone areas, it is <br />necessary for the Colorado Water Conservation Board to approve the <br />floodplain study and to designate appropriate portions of the flood- <br />plain as hazardous.
