<br />~"J <br /> <br />; <br /> <br />48 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />102 Columbine Building <br />1845 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />January 14, 1976 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Flood <br />Plain Information, Breckenridge, Colorado, Part I - Blue River, and <br />Part II - French, Illinois, Lehman and Sawmill Gulches," dated 1975, <br />has been prepared by Leonard Rice Consulting Water Engineers, Inc., <br />at the request of the town of Breckenridge and the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels or <br />basins of the study area; and ' <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the town of Breckenridge has requested the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board to designate and approve the floodplain areas <br />as set forth in the aforesaid report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in the <br />prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local juris- <br />dictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along any <br />storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation and <br />approval by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sect,ion 37-60-106(1) (c), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and <br />approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to make such <br />designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report and <br />,does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation Board that <br />said Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those areas <br />inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) as.des- <br />cribed by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in said <br />report; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conser- <br />vationBoard in regular meeting assembled.in Denver, Colorado,this <br />14th day of January, 1976 that it does hereby designate and approve as <br />floodplain areas those areas described as being inundated by a 100-year <br />flood as set forth in said report; and <br /> <br />J <br />
