<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />FPR 94-384 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />721 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />November 4, 1994 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, Town of <br />Wellington, Colorado" dated August 1978 has been prepared by Gingery & Associates, Inc. under <br />contract to the Federal Emergency Management Agency; and <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report includes detailed floodplain information for Box Elder and Coal Creeks; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested by the Town of Wellington, <br />Colorado, by Resolution No, 129, adopted on January 12, 1979, designated and approved the floodplains <br />described in said report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Floodplain Management Study, Box Elder <br />Creek in the Vicinity of Wellington, Colorado" dated September 1983 has been prepared by the <br />U,S,D,A. Soil Conservation Service; and <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report includes detailed floodplain information for Box Elder and Coal Creeks; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report includes detailed floodplain information which revised, on the basis of <br />1) a new hydrologic analysis which considered the flood control improvements constructed by the <br />U,S.D,A. Soil Conservation Service, 2) new topographic information, and 3) a revised hydraulic <br />analysis, the detailed floodplain information in Resolution No, 129 for Box Elder and Coal Creeks; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the detailed floodplain infonnation contained in Resolution No, 129 does not <br />consider the flood control improvements constructed by the USDA Soil Conservation Service and does <br />not therefore accurately represent current floodplain conditions in the Town of Wellington; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested by the Town of Wellington, <br />Colorado, by Resolution No, 227, adopted on January 5, 1984, designated and approved the floodplains <br />described in said report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Resolution No. 227 did not rescind any portion of Resolution No, 129; and <br />
