<br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as
<br />requested by the Denver Regional Council of Governments, by reSOlu-
<br />tion adopted March 8, 1972, approved and designated the floodplains
<br />described in the JUly, 1971, report, and, as requested by the City
<br />of Aurora, by resolution adopted OctOber 31, 1973, approved and
<br />designated the floodplains described in the June, 1973, report; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, a new report entitled "Flood Unsurance study,
<br />city of Aurora, Colorado," which includes floodplain information
<br />and data for Toll Gate Creek, West Toll Gate Creek, East Toll Gate
<br />creek, Unnamed Creek, Cherry Creek Spillway Drain, and West Toll
<br />Gate Creek Tributary, dated December, 1977, has been prepared by
<br />Gingery Associates, Inc., under contract with the Federal Insurance
<br />Administration; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain
<br />data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels
<br />or basins of the study area; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Urban Drainage and FlOOd cont~pl~District
<br />has requested the Color<i11o Water Conservation Board'C'to designate
<br />and approveth€Lf-1Qdd'~~n areas as Bet forth, in 'the aforesaid
<br />
<br />report; and, ....::;D;:j,,~l~.

<br />'WHEREASi' S$~'$' 37-60-106 (1), ColoradO Revised Statutes
<br />1973, requir~st~ecdiorado Water Conservation Board to assist in
<br />the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado
<br />Revised Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local
<br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or
<br />along any storm Or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after
<br />designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation Board;
