<br />Mesa County <br /> <br />--,,~"- <br /> <br />Town of DeBeque <br /> <br />High flows of the Colorado River caused the erosion of several feet of <br />the f~d control dike adjacent to DeBeque's wastewater treatment plant. <br />The security paralleling the River has been completely removed by the <br />water. Erosion also removed the rip rap that was installed to protect <br />the dike. In the event that the dike should fail during future high <br />flows, the contents of the sewage lagoons would be discharged into <br />the Colorado River. <br /> <br />$168,000 would be required to install 1,400 feet of rip rap. <br />Options: <br />
