L Q N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Flood <br />Hazard Identification Report, Gregory (Eureka) Gulch and Nevada <br />Gulch, Central City, Colorado," dated February, 1987, has been <br />prepared by the Colorado Wa~er Conservation Board at the <br />request of the City of Central; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report de6cribes and outlines detailed <br />floodplain information for the storm and floodwater runoff <br />channels or basins of Gregory (Eureka) Gulch and Nevada Gulch <br />within the City of Central; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Central has requested the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board to designate and approve the <br />-floodplain areas as set forth in the aforesaid report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section <br />Statutes. requires the <br />assist ib\th~'preventi6n <br />and <br /> <br />37-60-106 (I) (c). ColoradO Revised <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board to <br />of floods and flood damages therefrom; <br /> <br />WHEREAS. Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111. Colorado Revised <br />Statutes. provide that such legislative bodies of local <br />juriSdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on <br />or along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only <br />after designation and approval by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1){c), ColoradO Revised <br />Statutes, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to <br />designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or <br />basins and to make such designations available to legislative <br />bodies of local juriSdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report <br />and does hereby recommend to the Colorado Wa ter Conserva t ion <br />Board that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas <br />those areas inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate <br />regional flOOd) as described by the floodwater surface <br />elevations and profiles in said report; <br /> <br />3539E <br /> <br />\ <br />\ <br />
