<br />rate of project <br />repayment <br /> <br />During Fiscal Year 1972, the reimburs- <br />able Faumal investment in the CRSP <br />increased from $649,533,169 10 <br /> <br />'0 <br /> <br />$676,643,119. As of the end of the year <br />3.8 percent of the $676.643.119 had <br />been repaid. Revenues for repayment <br />carno from all four storage unils and <br />from eiRht of lhp. 20 authorized par- <br />ticipating projects during the year. <br />When all authorized units and projects <br />are compltlted. the CR$P reimbursable <br />Federal investment is estimated to total <br />approximately $1.9 billion. <br /> <br />Repayment of Power Investment <br />Fiscal Year 1972 was the ninth year <br />since electric power was first produced <br />by the CRSP. During the year, about 85 <br />percent of the planned ultimate 1,409.5 <br />megawalls or dependable generating <br />capacity was producing. Construction <br />of the power facilities of the Crystal fea- <br />ture of the CurecBnti Storage Unit and <br />of the Bonneville Unit of the Central <br />Utah Participating Project is needed to <br />provide full planned dependable <br />capacity. The reimbursable investment <br />in CRSP power facilities was <br />$464.415,528 at the end of Fiscal Year <br />t 972. Of this amount. 5.3 percent had <br />btlen repaid. Rising labor and material <br />costs will require a power selling rate <br />increase. A revised CRSP power rate is <br />expected to remain competitive with <br />other power rates in the area. <br /> <br />Repayment of 1\.1&1 Water In\"estmenl <br />Repayment revenue came from munici- <br />pal and industrifll water service pro- <br />vided from one storagtl unit and one par- <br />ticipating project during Fiscal Yeflr <br />1972. The extent of such service is <br />expected to increase rapidly under <br />alrHady executed contracts and options. <br />As of the end of the year. the reimhurs- <br />able municipal and industrial water <br />investment was $13,872.166 of which <br />3.2 percent had been repaid. <br /> <br />Repayment of Irrigation Investment <br />Ten participating projects provided <br />irrigation water during the 1972 irriga- <br />tion season. During Fiscal Year 1972, <br />irrigation repayment revtlllue was <br />rllceived from seven participating pro- <br />jects. Five of these projects wero making <br />regular annual payments according to <br />respective repayment contracts. <br /> <br />The reimbursable irrigation investment <br />of the storage units and participating <br />projects totaled $198.335.425 as of the <br />end of the year of which 0.3 percent <br />had been repaid. No repayment of the <br />irrigation investment of the storage <br />units is being made unlilthe power <br />investment is repaid. <br />
