2

The floodway is also affected by this revision. Because the base flood is contained within the box
culverts, the floodway boundaries were removed between 47th Street and Foothills Parkway. The
floodway width decreased between Cross Sections C and E. The maximum decrease in the floodway
width is approximately 160 feet approximately 300 feet upstream of 47th Street.

The channel stationing along Wonderland Creek was revised from approximately 8S feet downstream of
Kings Ridge Boulevard to the Burlington Northern Railroad to reflect increases in length resulting from
channel modifications. An equalizer has been added to Profile Panel 3S1P to account for this difference.
Also, the distance listed for Cross Section F in the Floodway Data Table was revised to agree with the
distance shown on Profile Panel 351P.

Profile Panel 350P was revised to show the water-surface elevations along the reach of Wonderland Creek
extending from approximately 1,200 feet upstream of the confluence with North Goose Creek to
approximately 2,300 feet upstream of the confluence as revised by a LOMR dated July 8, 1993. Cross
Section B in the Floodway Data Table was also modified to reflect this LOMR. The revised floodplain
and floodway boundary delineations and BFEs approved in the July 8 LOMR were incorporated prior to
publication of FIRM Panel 08013C0415 F dated June 2, 1995.

The modifications are shown on the enclosed annotated copies of FIRM Panel 08013C0415 F, Profile
Panels 350P and 351P, and the Floodway Data Table for Wonderland Creek. This LOMR hereby revises
this panel of the effective FIRM and the Flood Profiles and Floodway Data Table in the FIS report, all
dated June 2, 1995.

The following table is a partial listing of existing and modified BFEs:

Location

Existing BFE
(feet)*

Modified BFE
(feet)*

Wonderland Creek:
Approximately 155 feet downstream of Kings Ridge Boulevard
Approximately 1,000 feet upstream of Kings Ridge Boulevard
Approximately 380 feet downstream of 47th Street
Just downstream of the Burlington Northern Railroad
Just upstream of the Burlington Northern Railroad

5,254
5,269
5,271
5,282
5,287

5,254
5,268
5,269
5,283
5,287

*Referenced to the National Geodetic Vertical Datum, rounded to the nearest whole foot

Public notification of the revised BFEs will be given in the Boulder Daily Camera on or about June 23
and June 30, 1995. A copy of this notification is enclosed. Any request for reconsideration must be
based on scientific or technical data. In addition, a notice of changes will be published in the Federal
Reg-ister.

Because this LOMR will not be printed and distributed to primary users, such as local insurance agents
and mortgage lenders, your community will serve as a repository for these new data. We encourage you
to disseminate the information reflected by this LOMR throughout the community, so that interested
persons, such as property owners, local insurance agents, and mortgage lenders, may benefit from the
