Under alarm details, the message associated with the alarm is displayed, as is the <br />aeknowledgment time and initials entered, <br /> <br />Select the number of days to show by entering it and pre$ing the Refresh command button, <br /> <br />Acknowledging alarms <br />If notification is set for an alarm, then a red starburst symbol appears at the site (or in the legend if the <br />site is not displayed) until the alarm is aeknowledged, In this state, the notify status ispending, As <br />long as this status is in effect, the red starburst will remain even though the alarm may have already <br />cleared, <br /> <br />To aeknowledge an alarm, select the alarm to aeknowledge by c1ieking the sensor 10 in the leftmost <br />eolumn, entering your initials, and pressing the Acknowledge command button, <br /> <br />. Select multiple alarms by holding down the Gtrl key as you add or remove selections <br />in the log, <br /> <br />. Aeknowledge all unaeknowledged alarms by cheeking the All Alarms box and <br />pressing Acknowledge, <br /> <br />Resetting alarms <br />Sometimes it is neeessary to foree a reset on a sensor alarm, For example, if the river stage has <br />returned to a below,alarm level but the transmissions from the gauge are interrupted for some <br />reason, the alarm status will remain active until a lower data \Blue is reeeived or until you reset the <br />alarm, <br /> <br />Select the alarms to reset, or seleet to clear all alarms with the eheekbox, and then use the Force <br />Clear command button, <br /> <br />Managing alarm log records <br />Although alarm log reeords are arehived along with other tatJes, the records are not automatically <br />purged as data reeords are, The alarm log thus allows you to direetly control how long you keep <br />alarm log records, <br /> <br />Use this seetion to eontrol the number of log entries kept around, Exercise care, as alarm log reeods <br />ean't be restored once you've deleted them (exeept from the arehive file, of course). <br /> <br />26 <br />
