<br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-2B-lll, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, provide that such legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on <br />or along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only <br />after designation and approval by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. Section 37-60-l06(1)(c), Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to <br />designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or <br />basins and to make such designations available to legislative <br />bodies of local jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. An Agreement has been entered into between the <br />Urban Drainage and Flood Control District and the City of <br />Westminster to assure the flood routing capability of Stanley <br />Lake Reservoir as directed by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board at its January 23, 19B7, meeting; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, An Agreement has been entered into between the <br />Urban Drainage and Flood Control District, the City of <br />Broomfield, and the City of Westminster to assure the flood <br />routing capability of Great Western Reservoir as directed by <br />the Colorado Water Conservation Board at its January 23, 19B7, <br />meeting; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said revised <br />information and data and does hereby recommend to the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board that the Board designate and approve <br />as floodplain areas those areas inundated by a 100-year flood <br />( lntermedlate reglona 1 r lOOd) as descrioed by che f 100dwa cer <br />surface elevations and profiles in said new report, and further <br />recommends that the portion of the floodplain designation for <br />Big Dry Creek upstream of Interstate Highway 25 as approved by <br />Resolution No. 23. adopted July 11, 1973, be rescinded; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, <br />Colorado, this 1st day of October, 19B7, that it does hereby <br />amend its resolution of January 23. 19B7, Resolution 270, for <br />the. designation and appr-oval as floodplaina.reas those. areas <br />described as being inundated by a 100-year flood as described <br />by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in said new <br />report, dated November, 1986, and does hereby rescind that said <br />portion of Resolution No. 23, dated July 11, 1973; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Agreement No. B6-10.04 dated <br />April 21, 19B7, and Agreement No. B7-02.02 July 14, 1987. be <br />attachments hereto; and <br /> <br />-2- <br />
