(b) Contractor's Pub 1; c Li abi 1 i ty and Property Damage Insurance and Vehicle l1ability Insurance: The Contractor shall procure and sha 11 mai ntai n duri ng the 1 i fe of thi s Contract Contractor's Public Liability Insurance, Contractor's Property Damage Insurance and Vehicle Liability Insurance in the amounts speci- fied in the Supplemental General Conditions. (c) Subcontractor's Public Liabi1it and Pro erty Dama e Insurance an e 1 c e 1& 1 1 t~ nsurance: e ontractor s a e1 t er (1) require each of is subcontractors to procure and to main- tain during the ,life of his subcontract, Subcontractor's Public Liability and Property Damage Insurance and Vehicle Liability Insurance of the type and in the amounts specified in the Supplemental General Conditions specified in subparagraph (b) hereof, (2) insure the activities of his policy specified in subparagraph (b) hereof. (d) Scope of Insurance and Special Hazards: The insurance required under subparagraphs (b) and Ic) hereof shall provide adequate protecti on for the Contractor and hi s subcontractors, respec- tively, against damage claims which may arise from operations under this Contract, whether such operations be by the insured or by anyone directly or indirectly employed by him and, also agai nst any of the speci a1 hazards whi ch may be encountered in the performance of thi s contract as enumerated in the Supplemental General Conditions. (e) Bui1 der' s Ri sk Insurance (Fire and Extended Coverage): Unti 1 the proJect 1S completed and accepted by the owner, the Owner, or Contractor (at the Owner's option as indicated in the Supplemental General Conditions, Form (HUD-4238-N) is required to mai ntai n Buil der' s Ri sk Insurance (fire and extended cover- age) on a 100 percent completed value basis on the insurable portion of the project for the benefit of the Owner, the Contractor, subcontractors as their interests may appear. The Contractor shall not include any costs for Builder's Risk Insurance (fire and extended coverage) premiums during construc- tion unless the Contractor is required to provide such insur- ance; however, this provision shall not release the Contractor from his obligation to complete, according to plans and specifi- cations, the project covered by the Contract, and the Contractor and his Surety shall be obligated to full performance of the Contractor's undertaking. (f) Proof of Carriage of I'hsurance: The Contractor shall furnish the Owner w1th certificates showing the type, amount, class of
