<br />~ .! <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />Addendum No. 1 <br />August 14, 1986 <br /> <br />SECTION 01570 <br /> <br />TRAFFIC REGULATION <br /> <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 TRAFFIC CONTROL <br /> <br />A. General: The CONTRACTOR shall arrange his work so that there <br />will be as little disruption of traffic as possible. Any curb <br />and gutter, asphalt or other facilities damaged shall be <br />replaced at the CONTRACTOR's expense. <br /> <br />The CONTRACTOR shall furnish and maintain all necessary signs, <br />barricades, lights and flagmen necessary to control traffic and <br />provide for safety or the public, all in compliance with the <br />Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices with subsequent <br />revisions and additions, and to the satisfaction of the <br />ENGINEER. <br /> <br />No private drive, roadway or street shall be entirely closed to <br />traffic without a written consent of the affected owner. No <br />material will be stored on the roadway, outside the immediate <br />construction area. The CONTRACTOR shall remove all signs from <br />the roadway each day upon termination of work. <br /> <br />1.02 HAUL ROUTE TO/FROM LEVEE SITE AND FROM/TO BORROW SITE <br /> <br />A. Route. The Contractor shall use the route shown on the <br />Drawings. <br /> <br />B. Haul Vehicles. All haul vehicles used on the haul route shall <br />be 1 icensed for road and highway use. The haul vehicles shall <br />satisfy and obey all traffic rules, regulations, and laws. <br /> <br />1.03 SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />The CONTRACTOR shall provide flagpeople whenever trucks enter <br />or exit the north access point near the north end of the U.S. <br />160 bridge, the cost of which shall not be paid separately, <br />and is to be included in other items of the Work. <br /> <br />END OF SECTION <br /> <br />01570-1 <br />
