(g) 12 Repealed CHAPTER I--THE NATIONAL FLOOD INSURANCE PROGRAM BASIe AUTHORITY Sec. 1304. (a) To carry out the purposes of this title, the Director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency is authorized to establish and carry out a national flood insurance program which will enable interested persons to purchase insurance against loss resulting from physical damage to or loss of real property or personal property related thereto arising from any flood occurring in the United States. (b) 13 ADDITIONAL eOVERAGE FOR COMPLIANCE WITH LAND USE AND COmROL ~~s.--The national flood insurance program established pursuant to subsection (a) shall enable the purchase of insurance to cover the cost of compliance with land use and control measures established under section 1361 for-- (1) properties that are repeti ti ve loss structures; (2) properties that have flood damage in which the cost of repairs equals or exceeds 50 percent of the value of the structure at the time of the flood event; and , 12Sec. 552, National Flood Insurance Reform Act of 1994, Public Law 103-325, approved September 23, 1994, repealed the findings provision related to the erosion- threatened structures program. 13Sec. 555, National Flood Insurance Reform Act of 1994, Public Law 103-325, approved September 23, 1994, redesignated subsection (b) as subsection (c) and added a new subsection (b).
