FPR 253 COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD 721 State Centennial Building 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 March 14, .1986 RES 0 L UTI 0 N WHEREAS, a report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, Town of Jamestown, Boulder Co.unty, Colorado," which includes. flood\llain information and data for James Creek, Little James Creek, and Unnamed Tributary to Little James Creek, dated January 18, 1983, .has been prepared by Howard, Needles, Tammen & Bergendorff under contract with the Federal Emergency Management Agency; and WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines data and information for the storm and floodwater or basins of the study area; and the floodplain runoff channels WHEREAS, the Town of Jamestown has requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and approve the floodplain areas as set forth in the aforesaid report; and WHEREAS, requires the prevention of Section 37-60-106( 1), Colorado Revised Statutes, Colorado Water Conservation Bo a rdt 0 assist in the floods and flood damages therefrom; and WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised Statutes, provide that such legislative bodies of local jurisdic- tions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after desig- nation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, directs the Colorado Water Conservat ion Board to designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to ~ake such designations available to legislative bodies of. local jurisdictions; and WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report and does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water. Conservat ion Board that the Board designate and. approve as floodplain areas those areas inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) as described by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in said report;
