Soils in this reach have <br /> <br /> <br />a high susceptability to erosion because of t:he sandy nature of the mat- <br /> <br /> <br />erials. Mobile Park development immediately east of Buckley Road has <br /> <br /> <br />already startodc Portions of this develJpment, adjacent to South bank <br /> <br /> <br />of First Creek is within the 100-year flood plainc A low earth dyke <br /> <br /> <br />extending from Buckley Road to Station 660+80 is proposed to protect <br /> <br /> <br />this area from flooding. The only imprO\lel11ent suggested in this reach <br /> <br />is the construction of a new bridgE' for 3uckley Road_ <br /> <br />~~.kley Road Brid~ <br /> <br />The Buckley Road bridge at St.~ion 6~5+00 has at present two <br />small. openings. A new bridge at the ~;itr~ ha~ been proposed to pass the <br />100-year flow without overtopping. The bridge will have three spans <br />each of 35.0' with 6.0' as the height of openings.
