<br />TIlis responds to a request that the Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management
<br />Agency (FEMA) revise the effective Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) for Adams County, Colorado and
<br />Incorporated Areas, in accordance with Part 65 of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP)
<br />regulations, With a submittal dated August 12,2003, Mr, Douglas C, Weber, P,E., Drainage Design
<br />Manager, MKC/PTG, requested that FEMA revise the FIRM to show the effects of culvert installation,
<br />channel modifications, and placement of fill for the E-470 highway project along Todd Creek and
<br />Tributa!)' 4 to Todd Creek (Tributary 4), The Special Flood Hazard Areas (SFHAs), that areas that would
<br />be.inundated.by.the.flood'having'a-I~percent-chance'ofbeing'equaled-or'exceeded-ih-any given year (15ase
<br />flood), along Todd Creek and Tributa!)' 4 are designated Zone A, SFHAs with no Base Flood Elevations
<br />determined, This request follows up on a Conditional Letter of Map Revision issued on October 4, 2001,
<br />
<br />All data required to complete our review of this request were submitted with letters from Mr, David
<br />Morrisey, P,E., also with MKC/PTG, and Mr, Weber,
<br />
<br />We have completed our review of the submitted data and the flood data shown on the effective FIRM, We
<br />have revised the FIRM to modifY the floodplain bounda!)' delineations of the base flood along Todd Creek
<br />and Tributa!)' 4 in the area of E-470 , As a result of the modifications, the widths of the SFHAs for both
<br />Todd Creek and Tributary 4 increased in some areas and decreased in other areas, The modifications are
<br />shown on the enclosed annotated copy of FIRM Panel 0800 1 C0035 G, TIlis Letter of Map Revision
<br />(LOMR) hereby revises the above-referenced panel of the effective FIRM dated August 16, 1995,
<br />
<br />The modifications are effective as of the date shown above, The map panel listed above and as modified
<br />by this letter will be used for all flood insurance policies and renewals issued for your community.
<br />
<br />A review of the determination made by this LOMR and any requests to alter this detennination should be
<br />made within 30 days, Any request to alter the detennination must be based on scientific or technical data.
<br />
<br />We will not physically revise and republish the FIRM for your community to reflect the modifications
<br />made by this LOMR at this time. When changes to the previously cited FIRM panel warrant physical
