During the progress of flopds or shcirt~y <br />:after the floodwaters had subsided, the elevations cf. crest .high- <br />water marks were determined, the limits of the inundated areas <br />'wid'e marked on suitable.maps, and flood damage data :ve~e6011:cted. <br />. From these bas;"c data the flood damage estimates were prepared. <br />The estimates of. damages set up herein are primarily', for record <br />purposes, and are considered fairly reliable; howeve'r, more 'detailed <br />investigations in connection with survey reports might occasion <br />.c.ertain revisions. Maps showing the approximate reaches flooded <br />'on'the various streams are included in Appendix 11.1'01' reference <br />purposes. Typ'ic"l flood ,photographs .are contained in Appendix I. <br /> <br />.....:4.. Cooperation with other Federal .A!';encies.- During all high- <br />"later periods, prompt.exchange.of data:and report of forecasts by <br />.the 'u. S; Weather. Bureau g.reatly facilitated operations in the <br />Omaha District.; Considerable data relative to stream stages and <br />discharge data were supplied to this office by the Water Supply <br />Branch of the U. S. Geologic~l Survey. Similar data were furnished <br />to this office by the U. S. Bureau of Reclamation Regional Office <br />at Denver, Colorado. <br /> <br />1 <br />
