<br />a. Wild Cat Creek.- Flooding was quite severe in the oentral
<br />porticn of the basin and mcderate'in the lower basin. A moderately
<br />large area of agrioultur~l land was inU?dated, and three county rcad
<br />bridges, were washed out. Two small earth;f'ill dams" located, cn 'streams
<br />tributary to the Wild Cat Creek in the cez,tral part of the basib;
<br />were washed out. One, dam stored approximately 100 acre-feet of
<br />watel';the other stored about 30 acre-feet. , Failure is'sa1d to 'have
<br />resulted from inadequate spillway capacities. A third earth 'dWnin
<br />',' :tl:le samEi general area and stcring some 50 acre.feet of water "narrowly'
<br />escaped being overtopped 'by the spillway channe+ widening an additional
<br />25 feet, through erosion. No farmsteads were aff'ected and tl:lere was'

<br />b.Deadhorse Creek.- Heavy flooding resulted throughout'
<br />the entire length of this s~and along a number of 'its tributaries.
<br />Two co~ty road bridges, were washed out. Four small earth dams
<br />located in the ,lower, portion of' the basin, were washea 'out. ' ,The'
<br />largest dam storeci'some 100 acre-feet of water for irrigation'
<br />purposes., The;greater portion, of the town of Snyder, Colorado was
<br />inundated from one, to two feet in, depth.' Just below Snyd~f '",pprod-
<br />mately 4,800 feet of the Union Pacific Railroad track were,washed out,
<br />causing 20 hours delay in train traffi.c. No human liVes were lost"-

<br />c. Antelope Creek.- Overbank flaw along thi's stream' caused
<br />severe. damage, to, irriga:t;ed crops. Some damage resulted to oounty
<br />roads and bridge,s at points of' stream crossing. 'No' farmsteads, were
<br />affeoted. a~tI1e;e was, ,no loss of human life or of Hvestock; "

<br />d. Pawnee Creeic:.- Floodwaters from Pawnee Creek and'its -
<br />tributaries inundated a large area of agricultural lands and"caused
<br />rather seVere, da,Inage,,-to ,crops and farm improvements. Minor, damage

<br />on Lodgepole Creek Was between Burns, Wyoming, and Bushnell, Nebraska.
<br />Muddy Creek overtopped its banks throughout its entire ,length. High-
<br />way bridges. embanlonents, ,and rights-of-way' fen'csswere ",..shed out.
<br />and considerable crop damage occurred. At Pine Bluff~~ Muddy Creek'
<br />washed out a small Uhion Pacific Railroad Bridge and 'abou~ SeO'f'eet'
<br />of embankment, closing t,he, line and necessitating r\!tou,t.ing of trains.
