<br />1. Cause.- On 30-31 May 'a heavy rainstorm occurred over the
<br />Warm Slough watershed and adjacent at"eas., ,The depot agent at
<br />Central City, Nebraska, measured 4 inches of rainfall on 30 May
<br />and 1.6 inches on 31 May. Runoff from this stonn, caused overflow
<br />of lands adjacent, to Warm ,Slol.\gh.

<br />2. Extent .- Warm Slough overflowed a strip ,of land approxi-
<br />mate>ly 600 feet wide on ea.chbank in the- vicinity of Central City.
<br />Wat&rfr from the slough spilled into a'drainage ditch' paralleling
<br />the' ,right balik, which in turn caused additional flooding in
