<br />Nebraska. tn Wahoo 5 residences and 5.business places were <br />inundated. In Ithaca 13 residences and 17. small business <br />establishments were af'fected, and in Memphis the f'looding was <br />conf'ined to 3 homes and 6 business places. The f'looding in <br />Ashland is described in the Salt Creek.f'lood of' 1-2 June. <br />Fence damage was abnormally heavy throughout the flooded. area. <br />No hUman lives were lost. <br /> <br />6. Cause.- On 14 June a heaVy rainstorm,.ooourred over the <br />watershed of' Deadman's Run and adjacent area$. Unof'f'icial souroes <br />reported total preoipitation for the . storm amounted to. approximately <br />2.1 inches. Heavy runoff' occurred and Deadman's Run, unable to <br />oontain the flow, overtopped its banks and f'loodi~.resulted. The <br />channel is very small and is choked by numerous small.hridge <br />openings, many of whioh beoame partially blooked by f'loating debris. <br /> <br />2. Extent.- Flooding ocourred over .an area of.approximately <br />43 city blooks in Linooln, Nebraska, between the north edge of the <br />Agrioultural College and the Chicago, Burlington and Quinoy Rail- <br />road tracks about 0.8 mile bel~. <br /> <br />3. Duration.- This was a flash flood. Overbank f'low started <br />about 11,00 p.m., 14 June and continued for about 5.hours. <br /> <br />4. Sta/!:es and dischar/!:es.~ None available.
