Porpoae and Scope <br /> <br />The purpose of this study is to dete~ine the potential area of flooding <br />along Coal Creek and to formulate a feasible and practical plan fot mitigating <br />the flooding problems along the study reach. The specific location of the <br />study reach is shown in Figure-I. the information provided in this repett <br />"ill b€ used by the county and local agencies to regulate the land use of <br />areas "ithin the floodplain and thus reduce future flood damages. Implementa- <br />tion of the proposed .tructural improvements along Coal Creek will further <br />reduce dama~es to the populated areas. <br /> <br />2.
