The second plan would include a major bridge at County Line Road to convey the flood back to the west side of the road. A bridge with approximately 130 to 150 feet length and 12 feet clearance would be required. The added bridge length is due to the skewed road crossing. Channel improvements would begin at the Burlington Northern railrosd bridge and extend to the main Coal Creek channel. Additional channel improvements would be required downstream to Boulder Creek to prevent increased flooding damage. The water diverted from th~ east side of County Line Road would increase flood depths and area extent without cbannel improve~nts. CHAPTER X RECOMMENDED PLAN I The alternative plana described in Chapter VII were presented to the Tech- nicsl Committee for review and selection of the optimum overall plan. The basic advantages and disadvantages of each plan were compared with costs and poten- tial benefits. Limited available construction funding waS a prime consideration in the selection process.
