WHEREAS. the Board has previously authorized the Executive Director to

execute an Agreement with the Colorado Water Conservation Board for matching

funds for flood hazard area delineation studi.es (ResoJution No. 34, Series

of 1977); and

WHEREAS. pursu~n~ to that 'Agreement. the Executive Director has executed

a contract with Gingery Associates, Inc.. for a Flood Hazard Area Delineation

Study of Harvard Gulch. West Harvard Gulch, and Dry Gulch; and

WHEREAS. the Board has previously indicated its desire that the results

of such studies be provided to the local governments so as to assist local

governments in meeting the requirements of HB ID41;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:

I. The Board of Directors of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District

accepts the report (Flood Hazard Area Delineation~ Harvard Gulch. West

Harvard Gulch and Dry Gulch. November, 1979) and recommends its use as

a guide in future planning related to this major drainageway;

2. The Board of Directors of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District

recommends that Denver and Englewood adopt the report and regulate the

100-year flood plain defined in the report; and

3. The Board of Directors of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District

submit the report for designation and approval by the Colorad? Water

Conservation Board as stated in Section 37-60-106(1) (C), Colorado

Revised Statutes. 1973, as flood hazard areas. those areas described

in the report as ~eing inundated by the lOO-year flood.
